Students are graduating from public school underprepared for college or the workforce. The high unemployment rates indicate scarce opportunities for upward  mobility. We know we can make generational change through providing an environment where the play field becomes a little more even

Using a place-based model, all current investments are used in the development of the 28208 zip code (38,093 households; 13,221 children) in Charlotte, North Carolina. Our primary focus in the zip code are those who live, work and pray in the Lakeview community. POP’s Passion collaborates with community leaders to establish a model of community development excellence that can be replicated in other fragile communities. The 28208 zip code is one of the most fragile areas in Charlotte, North Carolina. We believe strengthening communities, happens one family at a time. 

Consistent with our vision, ”Upward Mobility For All,” POP’s Passion strives to provides life changing opportunities to families living in fragile communities. These opportunities are provided through our educational support services, and crisis support fund. Our programs are designed to reinforce the importance of home stability, an essential factor for any family striving for economic mobility. Our faith based approach to upward mobility provides the hope and character necessary for lasting family sustainability and vibrant community development.
